Looking back on your childhood I am sure there are things about your education that you remember. For me having grown up in the Public School System I can say that something I remember vividly are all the worksheets. Some I loved, others we all would groan about. However, whether good or bad I remember those worksheets. When I stated homeschooling I wanted to give my kids a chance to engage with those same type of worksheets. Granted not as often as I did growing up, but none the less I wanted them to experience how fun-worksheets can help the material they are learning stick. I would spend a lot of time searching the internet for worksheets like what I grew up using. Some times I […]
It’s here, finally! Yeah!!! The blog has a fresh, bright, new look. Where have I been, you say? That is a good question, which deserves an answer. I will be happy to give you an answer …in a minute. First, lets all just take a moment to celebrate this huge milestone. It has taken lots of research, learning, experimenting, and let’s face it, a long time to get to this point. Now that we are all here, I am so thankful that I get to be a part of this blog. So…cheers to a new beginning! Now, to answer your question. Honestly, I have been beyond overwhelmed with all that goes into getting the new look. I had dove right into getting things […]
With the start of this new chapter in my life, blogging, I have had to learn a lot of new things. One of those things is that having our blog on a self-hosted site gives us more options. After much research and planning, our blog will have a new home. Don’t worry, the address is still going to be the same, http://faithfilledchaos.com. We still need to put the decorations up and get it ready for company, but we want you to know that we are in fact moving very soon.
Okay everyone, it is just about the end of January. I told you I would be checking in with you, to see how you are doing on sticking to your goals. So, how are you doing with your goals?
As a Homeschooling Mom with very busy, active kids, I do not have much time to menu plan. I have, in the past, sat down for hours putting a week’s worth of meal plans together. I would go through my cabinets to find out what we have, pull out our recipe books and pick which meals we could eat with what we have, write out a shopping list of what I would need to buy, pull out coupons to match and then finally go shopping. It really did take hours and hours, with most weeks at about 4 hours per week’s worth of groceries. I decided about a year ago, enough was enough. Something had to give.
New posts are a welcome sight from other blogs I subscribe to. Even more so, when I know what will be coming. I love looking forward to all the different series that are heading around the corner. Since I love looking forward, I thought I would give you the same excitement and share some of our up-coming posts and series for the month of January.
With a new year comes self-reflection and motivation to change. Our blog is no different. Even though we have only been around a short while, the new year gives us motivation to press forward and set goals. What are those goals? How do you fit into this? Read on and find out!
