In this day and age of more things going digital, it is so nice to get actual mail that isn’t junk. Sending out those Christmas cards however, is much less appealing. I love the idea of finally dropping them in the post office bin, but getting them ready to mail is just so overwhelming. So now that Christmas card season is here, how do I go from being overwhelmed with getting one card out to getting out a hundred?
It seems like just yesterday I was cleaning out our master bedroom and now here we are getting ready to decorate for Christmas. I love to feel the warmth of a fully decorated house for Christmas. It brings so much joy every time I pull up to our house. However, getting the house decorated is another story altogether.
Is going shopping on Thanksgiving day worth it? Do you sacrifice time with family and friends for shopping? We throw out the reasons why the stores should respect Thanksgiving and give everyone, including the employees of the stores, time to visit with family. But in the end we always seem to come back to going shopping. All of the reasons why shopping shouldn’t be on Thanksgiving are of course still true, but when it comes down to me handing out our hard earned money, I want to hand over as little of it as possible. Don’t think that we give up on Thanksgiving. Oh no, that does not happen.
In our house, cleaning inevitably ends up making a much bigger mess…for the moment. Maybe it is that I take on too much at a time. Maybe we don’t work fast enough. Maybe, maybe, maybe. Honestly, it doesn’t much matter why when your house is in chaos.
