I don’t know about you, but this time of year really makes me think about what I wish I could do. The year being new brings a lot of hope into view and questions of what could be. However, dwelling on those questions can also get us into a mindset of thinking negatively about ourselves. Sure there are always things we can work on or improve upon, but to be thinking we aren’t good enough or can’t measure up won’t get us to where we need to be, where God wants us to be. Well, another year has come and gone. We now find ourselves in a new year. What are we going to do with this amazing gift of another year? I would say that I am not a resolutions kind of girl. I would think of myself as more a goal kind of girl. What do I mean by that? Well, when I think of resolutions I think of a long list of wants and needs all bundled up into an uncompleteable mound of disappointment. No one likes disappointment, and with ADHD where disappointment can happen frequently, why set myself up for it. So at the end of every year, I like to think about the biggest goals that I believe I can attain, that could truly change how we live for the better.
